Revelation 21:2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” 5 Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.” And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts. 7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. … 8 … 9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal. 12 Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 13 three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. 14 Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. 16 The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth. And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs. Its length, breadth, and height are equal. 17 Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel. 18 The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass. 19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, 20 the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst. 21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass. 22 But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. 23 The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. 24 And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. 25 Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there). 26 And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. 27 But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Revelation 22:1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

(They reign over the nations outside with a rod of iron)
Revelation 2:26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations — 27 ‘He shall rule them with a rod of iron; They shall be dashed to pieces like the potter’s vessels’ — as I also have received from My Father; 28 and I will give him the morning star. 29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”‘

Revelation 22:11b. He who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still. [In this place, the righteous, the holy will never again be tempted to sin.]

Revelation 21:8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Remember:
Revelation 20:10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 22:11a. He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still. [In this place, the unjust, the filthy will never again be compelled to repent].

Revelation 22:6 Then he said to me, “These words are faithful and true.” And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show His servants the things which must shortly take place. 7 “Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” 8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. 9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” 10 And he said to me, “Do not seal the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand. 11 He who is unjust, let him be unjust still; he who is filthy, let him be filthy still; he who is righteous, let him be righteous still; he who is holy, let him be holy still.” 12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments (Blessed are those who wash their robes NRSV), that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.” 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

[Nobody inside the City needs to wash their robes: if their robes needed washing because of impurity, they would not have been allowed into the City, Rev 21:27. Nor are they thisrty because everyone inside can already drink freely of the Water of Life.]

Remember:
Revelation 20:7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded The Camp Of The Saints and The Beloved City.

[Rev 20:9’s “The Beloved City” = “The Bride City” of Rev 21-22. “The Camp Of The Saints” are temporary travelers such as ourselves camping in tents around the gates of the City, preparing to enter in by “washing our robes”, “doing His commandments”. Gog and Magog are the unsaved nations, (the dogs, etc. of Rev 22:14) outside the walls and gates of the Beloved/Bride City.]

Revelation 22:18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus! 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God. … 11 … 12 … 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 14 For those who say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland [a forever home]. 15 And truly if they had called to mind that country from which they had come out, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 But now they desire a better, that is, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them. … Hebrews 12:18 For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, 19 and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. 20 (For they could not endure what was commanded: “And if so much as a beast touches the mountain, it shall be stoned or shot with an arrow.” 21 And so terrifying was the sight that Moses said, “I am exceedingly afraid and trembling.”) 22 But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, 23 to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 24 to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. …
Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. 29 For our God is a consuming fire. …
Hebrews 13:10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. 11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come.

2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 12 For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, though you know and are established in the present truth. 13 Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you, 14 knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. 15 Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.

2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened, not because we want to be unclothed, but further clothed, that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. 6 So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord. 9 Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. 11 Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men;

Luke 13:22 And He [Jesus] went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem. 23 Then one said to Him, “Lord, are there few who are saved?” And He said to them, 24 “Strive to enter through the narrow gate, for many, I say to you, will seek to enter and will not be able. 25 When once the Master of the house has risen up and shut the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,’ and He will answer and say to you, ‘I do not know you, where you are from,’ 26 then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in Your presence, and You taught in our streets.’ 27 But He will say, ‘I tell you I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.’ 28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out. 29 They will come from the east and the west, from the north and the south, and sit down in the kingdom of God. 30 And indeed there are last who will be first, and there are first who will be last.”

Jud 1:4-21 TKJU ⁴ For there are certain men that crept in unexpectedly, who evidently were ordained to this condemnation a long while ago, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁵ Therefore I will put you in remembrance, though you once knew this, how the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those that did not believe. ⁶ And the angels which did not keep their first estate, but left their own habitation, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day. ⁷ Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities all around them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ⁸ Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise government, and speak evil of dignitaries. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring a railing accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” ¹⁰ But these speak evil of those things which they do not know: But what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the contrariety of Korah. ¹² These are spots in your feasts of love, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: They are clouds without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; ¹³ raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever. ¹⁴ And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these people, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed with ungodly living, and of all their fierce speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” ¹⁶ These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaks great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. ¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; ¹⁸ how they told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts. ¹⁹ These are those who separate themselves, sensual, not having the Spirit. ²⁰ But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

1Co 14:2-28 TKJU ² For he that speaks in an unknown tongue does not speak to men, but to God: For no man understands him; nevertheless in the spirit he speaks mysteries. ³ But he that prophesies speaks edification, exhortation, and comfort to men. ⁴ He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church. ⁵ I would like that you all spoke with tongues, but far more that you prophesied: For greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, unless he interprets, that the church may receive edification. ⁶ Now, brethren, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? ⁷ And even things without life bringing forth sound, whether pipe or harp, unless they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? ⁸ For if the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself for the battle? ⁹ So likewise you, unless you utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? For you shall speak into the air. ¹⁰ There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. ¹¹ Therefore, if I do not know the meaning of the voice, I shall be to him that speaks a barbarian, and he who speaks shall be a barbarian to me. ¹² Even so you, as much as you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may excel to the edifying of the church. ¹³ For which reason let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. ¹⁴ For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. ¹⁵ What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding: I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. ¹⁶ Otherwise when you bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned say “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he does not understand what you say? ¹⁷ For you truly give thanks well, but the other is not edified. ¹⁸ I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all: ¹⁹ Yet in the church I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. ²⁰ Brethren, do not be children in understanding: Yet in malice be children, but in understanding be men. ²¹ In the law it is written, “With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people; and yet, for all that, they will not hear Me,” says the Lord. ²² Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those that believe, but to unbelievers: Moreover prophesying does not serve unbelievers, but is for those who believe. ²³ If therefore the whole church comes together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are beside yourselves? ²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there comes in one that does not believe, or one unlearned, he is convinced by all, he is discerned by all: ²⁵ And in this way the secrets of his heart are made apparent; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is truly in you. ²⁶ How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. ²⁷ If any man speaks in an unknown tongue, let there be two, or at the most three, each by turn; and let one interpret. ²⁸ But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

1Ti 4:14 TKJU Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

Act 9:10-17 MKJV1962 ¹⁰ And there was a certain disciple in Damascus named Ananias. And the Lord said to him in a vision, Ananias! And he said, Behold me, Lord. ¹¹ And the Lord [said] to him, Arise and go into the street which is called Straight and inquire in [the] house of Judas for [one] called Saul of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying, ¹² and has seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in and putting [his] hand on him so that he might receive his sight. ¹³ And Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many of this man, how many evil things he has done to Your saints at Jerusalem. ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your Name. ¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, Go! For this one is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before nations and kings and the sons of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will show him what great things he must suffer for My name’s sake. ¹⁷ And Ananias went and entered into the house. And putting his hands on him, [he] said, Brother Saul, the Lord, Jesus, who appeared to you in the way in which you came, has sent me to you that you might see and be filled with [the Holy Spirit.

Act 19:1-6 MKJV1962 ¹ And it happened in the [time] Apollos was at Corinth, Paul [was] passing through the higher parts to Ephesus. And finding certain disciples, ² he said to them, Have you received [the] Holy Spirit since you believed? And they said to him, We did not so much as hear whether [the] Holy Spirit is. ³ And he said to them, Then to what were you baptized? And they said, To John’s baptism. ⁴ And Paul said, John truly baptized [with] the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe into Him coming after him, that is, into Jesus Christ. ⁵ And hearing, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ And as Paul laid [his] hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Heb 6:1-3 MKJV1962 ¹ Therefore, having left the discourse of the beginning of Christ, let us go on to full growth, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, ² of [the] baptisms, of doctrine, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. ³ And this we will do, if God permits.

Act 1:4-8 MKJV1962 ⁴ And having met with [them], He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to await the promise of the Father which you heard from Me. ⁵ For John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized in [the] Holy Spirit not many days from now. ⁶ Then, indeed, these coming together, they asked Him, saying, Lord, do You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel? ⁷ And He said to them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in His own authority. ⁸ But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to [the] end of the earth.

Act 2:1-39 MKJV1962 ¹ And in the fulfilling of the day of Pentecost, they were all with one accord in one place. ² And suddenly a sound came out of the heaven as borne along by the rushing of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. ³ And tongues as of fire appeared to them, being distributed; and it sat upon each of them. ⁴ And they were all filled of the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ⁵ And dwelling at Jerusalem there were Jews, devout men out of every nation under heaven. ⁶ But this sound occurring, the multitude came together and were confounded, because they each heard them speaking in his own dialect. ⁷ And they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, Behold, are not these who speak all Galileans? ⁸ And how do we each hear in our own dialect in which we were born? ⁹ Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya around Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, ¹¹ Cretans and Arabians, we hear them speaking the great things of God in our own languages [These people were experiencing the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues]. ¹² And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying to one another, What does this mean? ¹³ But others mocking said, These men are full of sweet wine [These people were NOT experiencing the Gift of Interpretation of Tongues]. ¹⁴ But Peter, standing up with the Eleven, lifted up his voice and said to them, Men, Jews, and all who dwell at Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and listen to my words. ¹⁵ For these are not drunk as you suppose, for it is [the] third hour of the day. ¹⁶ But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: ¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. ¹⁸ And in those days I will pour out My Spirit upon My slaves and My slave women, and they shall prophesy. ¹⁹ And I will give wonders in the heaven above, and miracles on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke. ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before that great and glorious Day of the Lord. ²¹ And it shall be [that] everyone who shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ²² Men, Israelites, hear these words. You will fill Me with joy with Your countenance. ²⁹ Men, brothers, it is permitted to say to you with plainness as to the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. ³⁰ Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of [the] fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, He would raise up Christ to sit upon his throne, ³¹ seeing this beforehand, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor would His flesh see corruption, ³² God raised up this Jesus, of which we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being exalted to the right of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured out this which you now see and hear. ³⁴ For David has not ascended into the heavens, but he says himself, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit at My right [hand] ³⁵ until I place Your enemies [as] a footstool to Your feet. ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God made this same Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. ³⁷ And hearing [this], they were stabbed in the heart, and said to Peter and to the other apostles, Men, brothers, what shall we do? ³⁸ Then Peter said to them, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ to remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. ³⁹ For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all those afar off, as many as [the] Lord our God shall call.

27 So a young man ran and told Moses, and said, “Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp.”

28 Then Joshua the son of Nun, who was near Moses, one of his choice men, answered and said, “Lord Moses, forbid them.”

29 Then Moses said to him, “Are you jealous for my sake? Would that all the Lord’s people might be prophets, when the Lord would put His Spirit upon them.”

1 Samuel 9:27–10:13. SAAS Samuel said to Saul, “Tell the servant to go on ahead of us. But you stand here today, and give heed to the word of God.”

10:1 Then Samuel took a vial of olive oil and poured it on his head, and kissed him and said to him, “Has not the Lord anointed you as ruler to His people, over Israel? You shall rule among the people of the Lord, and you shall save them from the hand of their enemies round about them. For you, this shall be the sign that the Lord anointed you as a ruler for His inheritance.

2 As you depart from me today, you shall come to find two men by Rachel’s tomb in the territory of Benjamin who are jumping about ecstatically, and they will say to you, ‘The donkeys you searched for are found, but take notice, your father stopped worrying about news concerning the donkeys and is anxious about you, saying, “What shall I do about my son?” ’

3 Then you shall go on from there and come to the oak tree of Tabor. There you will find three men going up to God at Bethel, one carrying three young goats, one carrying three containers of bread, and one carrying a skin of wine.

4 And they will entreat you in peace and give you two loaves of bread, which you shall take from their hands.

5 After this, you shall come to the hill of God, which for the Philistines is the high place there. The Philistine Nasib is located there. And when you enter the city, you will meet a band of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, a tambourine, a flute, and a harp before them. They will be prophesying.

6 Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you shall prophesy with them, and you shall be turned into another man.

7 And when these signs shall come to pass for you, do all the many things your hand finds to do, because God is with you.

8 You shall go down before me to Gilgal, and I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and peace offerings. You shall wait for seven days, till I come to you and show you what to do.”

9 So it came about that when he turned his back to depart from Samuel, God gave him another heart; and all the signs came to pass on that day.

10 And he came there to the hill, and behold there was a band of prophets opposite him, and the Spirit of God came upon him and he prophesied in the midst of them.

11 It came about that all those who had seen him previously saw it, and behold, he was in the midst of the prophets. And the people said, each one to his neighbor, “What is this that has happened to the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”

12 Then one of them answered and said, “But who is his father?” Therefore it became a proverb: “Truly, even Saul is among the prophets.”

13 And he finished prophesying and came to the hill.

1 Samuel 19:18–24, SAAS So David fled and escaped, and went to Samuel at Ramah, and told him all Saul had done to him. And David and Samuel went and stayed in Naioth in Ramah.

19 And it was told to Saul, saying, “Take note, David is at Naioth in Ramah!”

20 Then Saul sent messengers to take David. And when they saw the assembly of prophets, and Samuel standing as leader over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

21 And when this was told to Saul, he sent other messengers, and they prophesied as well. Then for a third time, Saul sent messengers, and they too, prophesied.

22 Now Saul was inflamed with anger, and he too went to Ramah. He came as far as the storage well of the threshing floor in Sechu and asked, saying, “Where are Samuel and David?” And someone said, “Look, they are in Naioth in Ramah.”

23 So he went onward to Naioth in Ramah. And then the Spirit of God came upon him too, and he went on and prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah.

24 There he removed his clothes and prophesied before them, and he fell unclothed on the ground all that day and all that night. Therefore they say, “Is Saul among the prophets?”

1 Kings 18:1–16, SAAS It came to pass many days later, in the third year, the word of the Lord came to Elijah, saying, “Go and appear to Ahab, and I will send rain on the earth.”

2 So Elijah went and appeared to Ahab, and there was a severe famine in Samaria.

3 Then Ahab called Obadiah, who was in charge of his house. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly.

4 For when Jezebel massacred the prophets of the Lord, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water.

5 So Ahab said to Obadiah, “Let us go into the land, to the springs of water and brooks. Perhaps we will find grass to keep the horses and mules alive, so none of the livestock dies.”

6 So to explore it, they divided the path between them. Ahab went one way by himself, and Obadiah went another way by himself.

7 Now Obadiah was alone on his way, and Elijah came alone to meet him. Obadiah quickly fell on his face in Elijah’s presence and said, “My lord Elijah, is that you?”

8 Elijah replied, “It is I; go, tell your master, ‘Behold, Elijah is here.’ ”

9 So Obadiah said, “What sin did I commit for you to give me, your servant, into the hand of Ahab to put me to death?

10 As the Lord your God lives, there is not a nation or kingdom where my master has not sent to hunt you. If they said, ‘He is not here,’ then he set fire to the kingdom and its territories, because he did not find you.

11 So now you say to me, ‘Go, tell your master, “Behold, Elijah is here’ ”!

12 But if I so do, it shall come to pass, when I leave you, the Spirit of the Lord shall carry you to a land I do not know. Moreover, when I go and report this to Ahab, he will kill me. Yet your servant fears the Lord from his youth.

13 Was it not reported to you, my lord, as to what I did when Jezebel killed the prophets of the Lord, how I hid one hundred men of the Lord’s prophets, fifty to a cave, and fed them with bread and water?

14 But now you say to me, ‘Go, tell your master, “Behold, Elijah is here,’ ” but he will kill me.”

15 Then Elijah said, “As the Lord of hosts lives before whom I stand, today I will appear to him.”

16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him, and Ahab ran out and went to meet Elijah.

1 Kings 19:10-14, SAAS Behold, the word of the Lord came to him and said to him, “Elijah, what are you doing here?” And Elijah said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord Almighty since the children of Israel have forsaken You. They tore down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they seek to take my life.”

11 Then He replied, “Go out tomorrow and stand on the mountain before the Lord; and behold, the Lord will pass by, and before the Lord, a great and powerful wind will be rending the mountains and shattering the rocks; but the Lord will not be in the wind. After the wind, an earthquake, but the Lord will not be in the earthquake.

12 After the earthquake, there will be a fire, but the Lord will not be in the fire. After the fire, there will be a sound of a gentle breeze, and the Lord will be there.”

13 So when Elijah heard this, he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. Suddenly a Voice came to him and said, “Elijah, what are you doing here?”

14 He replied, “I have been very zealous for the Lord Almighty, since the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left, and they seek to take my life.”

Luk 2:25-38 AKJV And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was on him. 26 And it was revealed to him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. 27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law, 28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, 29 Lord, now let you your servant depart in peace, according to your word: 30 For my eyes have seen your salvation, 31 Which you have prepared before the face of all people; 32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel. 33 And Joseph and his mother marveled at those things which were spoken of him. 34 And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against; 35 (Yes, a sword shall pierce through your own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. 36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; 37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. 38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise to the Lord, and spoke of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

Act 21:8-15 AKJV And the next day we that were of Paul’s company departed, and came to Caesarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and stayed with him. 9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy. 10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus. 11 And when he was come to us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus said the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that ownes this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles. 12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, sought him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, What mean you to weep and to break my heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. 14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done. 15 And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.

Act 15:32-33 AKJV And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brothers with many words, and confirmed them. 33 And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace from the brothers to the apostles.

1Co 11:4-5 AKJV Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonors his head. 5 But every woman that prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.

1Co 14:1-40 AKJV Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy. 2 For he that speaks in an unknown tongue speaks not to men, but to God: for no man understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 3 But he that prophesies speaks to men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 4 He that speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church. 5 I would that you all spoke with tongues but rather that you prophesied: for greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 6 Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? 7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? 8 For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 9 So likewise you, except you utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for you shall speak into the air. 10 There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. 11 Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be to him that speaks a barbarian, and he that speaks shall be a barbarian to me. 12 Even so you, for as much as you are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that you may excel to the edifying of the church. 13 Why let him that speaks in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. 14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 16 Else when you shall bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupies the room of the unlearned say Amen at your giving of thanks, seeing he understands not what you say? 17 For you truly give thanks well, but the other is not edified. 18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than you all: 19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue. 20 Brothers, be not children in understanding: however, in malice be you children, but in understanding be men. 21 In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak to this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, said the LORD. 22 Why tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serves not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. 23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that you are mad? 24 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believes not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: 25 And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. 26 How is it then, brothers? when you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a doctrine, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done to edifying. 27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. 28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. 30 If any thing be revealed to another that sits by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For you may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted to them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also said the law. 35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36 What? came the word of God out from you? or came it to you only? 37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write to you are the commandments of the Lord. 38 But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant. 39 Why, brothers, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. 40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

1Th 5:19-21 AKJV Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Joh 17:1-3 Jesus spoke these words, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You: 2 As you have given Him power over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know You the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

• The Pharisees knew about both God and Jesus Christ, but they did not actually know God and did not, therefore, partake of eternal life from God.
• Same with the false prophets, wolves-in-sheep’s clothing Jesus warned about in Mat 7:15-23 Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You shall know them by their fruits…. 21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of My Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name? And in Your name have cast out devils? And in Your name done many wonderful works?’ 23 And then I will profess to them, ‘I never knew you: Depart from me, you that work iniquity.’

• The unclean spirits and demons know about both God and Jesus Christ, but they do not have the healthy, personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ required to partake of eternal life.
• Rev 3:15-22 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, and am increased with goods, and have need of nothing’; but do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked: 18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye-salve, that you may see. 19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: Therefore be zealous, and repent. 20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: If any man hears My voice, and opens the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with Me. 21 To him that overcomes I will grant to sit with Me in My throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with My Father in His throne. 22 He that has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

• Mat 7:7-8 Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you: 8 For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.
• Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: For he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.
• Jer 29:13-14a And you shall seek Me, and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. 14 And I will be found by you’, says the LORD
• Deu 4:29 But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

• Mat 12:43-45 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, ‘I will return into my house from which I came out’; and when he has come, he finds it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then he goes, and takes with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: And the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so it shall also be to this wicked generation.”

Joh 8:31-36 AKJV 31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If you continue in my word, then are you my disciples indeed; 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. 33 They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how say you, You shall be made free? 34 Jesus answered them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Whoever commits sin is the servant of sin. 35 And the servant stays not in the house for ever: but the Son stays ever. 36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed.
